What is Mastercard Crypto Credential?

Mastercard Crypto Credential is a service that replaces long, complex wallet addresses with a simple, human-readable alias (username). This makes sending and receiving cryptocurrency easier, faster, and more secure.




Do I need to activate Bybit Pay before using Mastercard Crypto Credential?

Yes, you must activate Bybit Pay before registering or using Mastercard Crypto Credential. This feature is currently only available on the Bybit App.




How do I register for Mastercard Crypto Credential on Bybit Pay?

You can register by going to Bybit Pay → Receive → Mastercard Crypto Credential → Register. For more information, please refer to this article.




What information do I need to register?

You only need the following details to complete the registration:

  1. A valid email address or mobile number registered on Bybit. This will be used as your Crypto Credential identifier.
  2. Your preferred blockchain networks. Bybit will recommend the network you have previously used. Your credential will only support the network selected during registration. However, you can still add new networks after completing the registration.




Can I invite others to use Mastercard Crypto Credential?

Yes, after completing your registration, you may tap Share to invite friends to register as well.




How do I send crypto via Mastercard Crypto Credential?

Go to Bybit Pay → Send, enter an email address or phone number that is registered as a Mastercard Crypto Credential, and then tap Confirm to continue.


Note: You can send the assets via Mastercard Crypto Credential only when the recipient is already registered for Mastercard Crypto Credential but is not a Bybit user.




How do I receive crypto using Mastercard Crypto Credential?

Go to Bybit Pay → Receive → Mastercard Crypto Credential → Share to send your receiving request link to the sender.


Note: If the sender has not yet registered for Mastercard Crypto Credential, they can tap the receiving request link to complete the registration and then send you crypto via Mastercard Crypto Credential.




What networks and cryptocurrencies can I use with Mastercard Crypto Credential?

The list of supported networks and cryptocurrencies will appear on the transaction page. If a network or asset is not displayed, it is not supported for the recipient’s credential or wallet.




Is there a minimum amount required for sending crypto?

Yes, the minimum withdrawal amount will be shown on the screen. Please review the amount before submitting the transaction.




Does Mastercard Crypto Credential replace Bybit’s internal transfer?

No, the Internal Transfer function remains available. Mastercard Crypto Credential is used specifically for on-chain transactions through a verified alias.




Where can I check my Mastercard Credential transaction history?

Go to Bybit Pay → Payment History icon to view all your relevant Mastercard Credential transaction records.




My account is under a withdrawal restriction. Can I still use the Mastercard Crypto Credential on Bybit Pay?

No, when your account is under withdrawal restriction, such as the 24-hour withdrawal security restriction, Mastercard Crypto Credential will also be unavailable until the restriction is lifted. For example, if there is a 24-hour withdrawal restriction due to the unbinding of your Google Authenticator, you will only be able to proceed after the restriction period ends.




What is Address Management?

Address Management allows you to link your frequently used blockchain networks for quicker and easier access when sending or receiving crypto assets via Mastercard Crypto Credential.




Can I remove a network after adding it to Address Management?

No, once a network has been added to Address Management, it cannot be deleted. However, you can add additional networks if needed.
